7/28 - New Features! Flashcards, Vocabulary Builder, and Recent History

Hello again! We're back after a hiatus from news, but rest assured we're been very busy. Today I'd like to announce three great new features for our Gabble On Smart Translator - Vocabulary Builder, Flashcard Generator, and more robust Recent History. Each of these new tools are designed to work together with the Smart Translator to make it the best language learning tool available online.

Vocabulary Builder

Automatically build a vocabulary list from words you've already encountered
Sort your words alphabetically, by most recent, or by most commonly used
Mark words you already know and watch you vocabulary grow!

Flashcard Generator

Look up pictures from Flickr and Google Images or import your own
Sort, crop, save and review all in one place

5/6 - User Interface for Smart Translator Online tweaked

We we've updated the user interface of our online smart translator to be more intuitive and natural to use. Now the input box is at the top of the screen and the translations follow in a thread beneath it. We've also darkened the text boxes to make it easier to see in bright light conditions.

Thank you to all those that comments and suggested these changes. Please continue to give me feedback so that we can make it better and better.

Welcome to the new and improved Gabble On website. After two months from the initial launch of our site, we a happy to present our new face complete with translation tools, research results, and more links and information about the Machine Translation Software that powers our site. 5/2/2010 - Demo Video for the Gabble On Smart Translator is released

Our first demo video for the Gabble On Smart Translator is now available for viewing on our Homepage and on YouTube. 4/30/2010 - Smart Translator iPhone Application is available on iTunes

Gabble On's first iPhone app, Smart Translator, is now available for free on iTunes. Using the results of our research we've built this app to combine the best aspects of each engine into one super translation tool. Regardless of the languages or text, the Smart Translator app will select the highest rated engine and return the results. Our mobile and online tools are free for anyone to use and also provide additional features such as saved translation history to make online translators more useful and accessible.

4/29/2010 - Wade Floyd and University of Texas wins the iPad in Gabble On’s March Madness Contest

Congratulations to the University of Texas at Austin for winning our overall March Madness Bracket with the greatest number of participants in our research study week after week. A big thank you to everyone who participated in our study.
